Fort Wilderness Military - To build these forts and forts, both armies used engineers to design and build using the latest military knowledge. When war broke out in 1775, very few Americans had the engineering background and military knowledge of building forts and fortifications.

Castle Rock and the Pontoon Bridge were not added until 1957, but Fort Wilderness was one of the original features of Tom Sawyer's Island when the first visitors were welcomed. The Outpost Depot is located near the entrance to the camp.
The Depot is a large bus stop that connects to most of Disney's theme parks, including Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and both water parks. Outpost Depot has a monitor that shows bus arrival times. Buses depart to the various amusement parks approximately every 20 minutes.
Come “Home” To Fresh Groceries
Disney MagicBands are so cool! Your Disney passes will be included in your wristbands, so you will use them to enter the parks. You can also use them to open gates to enter Fort Wilderness, pay for everything in the park (if you include a credit card), and most importantly, fast passes!

Animal lovers of all ages will be delighted by the variety of breeds that live at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, including Appaloosas, Arabians, Belgians, Clydesdales, Paint Horses, Percherons and Quarter Horses, as well as Shetland ponies that we stayed at Disney's Fort Wilderness for the first time
in June 2018. We were there to spend time with family who were also staying at Fort Wilderness. June is obviously a busy season for Disney so we paid $125 per night plus tax and fees.

Fort Wilderness Cottages are "pioneers" of modern conveniences in a rustic setting, including our order-ahead service that allows guests to "stock up" days or even months before arrival! Each round of the camp has its own bathroom, which was very clean.
Premium Campsite
They definitely meet Disney standards! The bathrooms also have a proper laundry room. But these are Disney prices for $3 to wash and another $3 to dry! The campgrounds at Fort Wilderness are beautiful! The seats are paved and long enough for those 45 feet long!
This includes 30 or 50 amps, plumbing, water and cable. The sites also offer a picnic table and grill. The best part is that Disney treats their campground like a hotel. As soon as someone leaves their seat, a Disney employee will sweep them up and make sure the table and grill are clean before the next platform arrives.
It was great to watch. Anyone staying at a Disney resort, including Fort Wilderness, will be able to take advantage of Disney's Magic Hours! Magic Hours allow you to enter the park one hour before anyone else enters the park and stay up to 2 hours after they exit.
Disney's Magic Hour schedule will be communicated at check-in. One park per day will have magic hours.
